NASA Traveling Program

NASA United Soccer Traveling Program currently has boys teams in each of the age groups from U7 through U18 for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. These teams compete in premier leagues throughout the northeast and participate in highly competitive tournaments throughout the Eastern Region of the United States.  NASA club teams have also advanced to US Regional Championships in New Hampshire and North Carolina.

Through a comprehensive training curriculum and a dedicated professional staff, NASA United Soccer has been able to capture the NJ State Championships in 2002, 2003 and 2010.  No other soccer club has won more NJ State Cups in the Northern, NJ Region (Bergen, Passaic & Hudson) over the past decade.

Travel team information and price comparison

The focus at NASA United is on player development through top quality instruction and exposure to the highest levels of competition. All teams are coached by professional trainers who will consistently focus on helping players achieve a higher level of ball handling creativity and technical proficiency in preparation for club, high school, college, National teams and/or professional teams. All staff members are former professional players, some with World Cup experience. The training model is based on the highly technical, ball possession style of South American and Spanish (Spain) soccer. NASA club teams usually dedicate up to 4 days a week to practices and games. It may consist of 2 practices and 2 games or 3 practices and 1 game, depending on the league schedule, State Cup schedule or tournament schedule.

In the Spring of 2008, NASA representatives met with Alianza Lima’s director of youth soccer operations, Rafael “Cholo” Castillo. El Cholo Castillo, as he is known throughout Peru, has been in charge of youth divisions from Under-12 through Under-20 for over four decades and has experienced incredible success. He has seen some of the greatest players in the world come through Alianza Lima, including Teofilo “El Nene” Cubillas, Perico Leon and even some of today’s stars such as Claudio Pizzaro and Jefferson Farfan. Through the guidance of Alianza Lima, NASA United Soccer has benn able to incorporate the training curriculm and methods of one of the most successful and storied soccer franchises in South America. We are proud to partner with Alianza Lima and will utilize this affiliation to give the players of NASA the opportunity to learn from the professional clubs and to have exposure with some of the most recognized professional soccer clubs in South America.
